The Oberlanders
The Zorconians placed observers on distant planets. On the medieval world Sol #3, their observer was Marie Gottmothercus, a junior planetary anthropologist from Zorcon University. Marie was on her first assignment. Sometimes she ignored the rules and used her wand to help the locals. In Oberland Kingdom she became known as the Fairy Godmother.
The Zorconians thought that they could do whatever they wanted with Sol #3. They never considered that the Elders might have their own plans, or what could happen when Zorcon technology met Old Elder Magic.

The Sendroids
Zorcon was on the verge of destruction by its foolish inhabitants. Cinderwan intervened. She decided to save their planet by creating a new universe and moving Zorcon there.
The Guardians of the Multiverse had overseen the creation of countless universes, but taking along a planet had never been done. They worried that the Zorconians had too many bad habits.
Cinderwan would need to recruit and train Elders to manage things, but the Zorconians would not make good Elders. Cinderwan’s idea was to train androids as the new Elders. Meanwhile, the androids wanted to know what was in it for them.
